Man in the dark suit I dare to ask

Updated on July 29, 2015

Man in the dark suit I dare to ask

Man in the dark suit I dare to ask

Bring news to me

Define our final tasks

For all the blue eyes to see

Bring news to me

Take off our masks

For all the blue eyes to see

In pearl lit moonlight I do bask

Take off our masks

Throw away the key

In pearl lit moonlight I do bask

Man in dark suit: Set us free

Throw away the key

These things I do ask

Man in dark suit: Set us free

You’ve been chosen for this task

Man in dark suit: Set us free

You’ve been chosen for this task

For all the blue eyes to see

Man in the dark suit I dare to ask

Great poem. I wore a black suit for the masons from 1999 to 2010. (247 times)

Thanks Mhatter99. I am still working on the form-even tougher than the villanelle. You must be very special for I have been told that the masons only accept the best men. Best Always, Kim

This is interesting and very mysterious as well. The repetitive form works well with the subject.

      xstatic,

This was my first try at the pantoum form. I appreciate your comment and noting the mysterious element I tried to create with the image of "man in a dark suit."
