Wise writes with fun and entertaining repetitive phrases along with rhymes as Mouse moves through his world learning to count. He begins his counting with 1 book that has a hole to crawl through. He crawled through 2 holes in his book and discovered number 3 with 3 fish. Mouse continues through his counting book all the way to 10 objects. Number 9 has a special rhyme that young children will recognize.
