Meditating Mantis
Silence of the Mantis
Noises torture the ones who want to be healed Craving the serenity of the naked mantis Sound bubbles of obscenity, Bursting in your ears Over thinking the world Redefining fear Bite your tongue Or forget that you have one Redeem you'r inhumanity Alter your senses Remove yourself from complication We are the ones who hold ourselves back Extend your antenna to the universe Transmissions of ever shifting emotion
Violence of the Mantis
The watchful eye of the gate keeper Sees you in the back of it's head Don't be late (A cold blade is held to your throat, hugging your jugular) With ropes you've been tied to the window frame The red, paint like blood, Stains your view of the passing days (Its tongue is meant for tasting your face) The Air conditioner's broken Sweat drips your fat away (Your eyes were removed and placed in a coffee can) Pushing on your chest The gate keeper simulates your breath You must stay awake Forever (It drives the blade into your abdomen) The ropes that once held you in place have now been cut, Yet your frozen in that same toy doll pose Bleeding In a flawless posture Praying Mantis
