Memory of a Friend (poem)

Updated on September 19, 2015

When we first met it wasn’t love at all

We simply liked each other’s company

It’s true we danced I’d take you to the ball

For friends it seemed to come so naturally

-

We spent our time with others here and there

Remember we were truly best of friends

So natural to see us as a pair

Our friendship was as far as it extends

-

We didn’t need each other’s kisses then

No need for flow’ry words confusing things

We didn’t haunt each other’s dreams again

No need for rings and such confusing strings

-

Until one day when we were forced to part

A tear touched me and caused romance to start

That's the way I believe love should start as a good friendship? But not for too long or one gets the clue.

beautiful poem and music. Your a true Romantic.

Sometimes throwing romance or sex into the mix can ruin the friendship between a man and a woman. It happened to me once.

Aw, this is so beautiful, Mh. Yes, the best of loves to me, is when it starts as a true friendship then develops.

At right moment processing through mind and spirit the steps are made carefully expressing closeness of heart's intention: in giving we receive, share our best moments realizing later it is unforgettable love.

So lovely and true my friend. We don't often recognize what we've got until it's gone. You put many feelings into words.
