Message to a Daughter
To My Daughter
Dear Sherry:
Happiness is a journey, not a destination.
That's why it holds for us an abiding fascination.
Tomorrow will soon come our way,
In the meantime, live for today.
Find happiness - even if it's a small amount,
In all the little blessings that you can count:
Good health, a good life, a great place to live,
And all the joy having a loving family can give.
Look at what you have, not at what you do not.
So what if you don't have gold, you have the pot…and pans…and dishes...
and glassware…and silver…etc.,etc.,etc.
Life is too short to worry about the morrow.
Enjoy this moment, focus on gaiety, not sorrow.
And always remember, wherever you may be,
Somebody loves you to pieces and that someone is me!
