Methinks You Are Trying To Kill Me.

Updated on May 25, 2013

You're Killing me slowly,

As I knew you would.

Nothing about you has

any force for good.

Killing me slowly..

Some were fooled by your outward show,

I knew all along. I know what you know.

And of course you can kill , you do each day,

Killing me slowly.

People don't see a broken heart.

When it's you inside, tearing apart,

Why Should they believe, what they cannot see?

Only you and I know you're killing me..

You're killing me slowly,

As I thought you would.

No antidote will make me feel good,

You are evil , enjoying each moment of..

killing me slowly.

My heart's being sliced when it's not being torn,

By memories of a beautiful morn.

Like this one today, and others to come,

While you plot and scheme to hold back the sun.

Killing me slowly.

Not easy to live with a broken heart,

It's needed to pump, not be torn apart,

But just as I thought, You feel nought of that.

The pumping could stop and you'd just sit back,

Knowing achievement. The Killing of Me.

Slowly.

It was you all along, doing the killing,

Carefully, slowly, corrupting the willing

Those willing to fall for your devious tricks.

Killing me slowly.

A strong beating heart could stand up to you,

The killing me slowly may not come true,

You don't like a fight. You devour the weak.

And I have been weak, but will I stay thus?

You do your worst. Time will soon tell,

Whether you killed me slowly,

Or you went to Hell.

Certainly a poem that's the antithesis of "Killing Me Softly With His Song." A strong beating heart was the perfect antidote to this psycho devil, Dim.:)

Your description of pain is quite vivid and sharp.Life can turn out to be great if the one killing you takes one good heart attack. So happy to be reading your hubs.Another hub so many can relate to.Always a pleasure connecting with a friend who is sweet from head to toe.See you around and don"t forget to keep dreaming when you take a walk down town.

    Hello ocfireflies.

It makes me very happy to know that l may have helped in some small way.

So many of us suffer in silence, when we ought to be yelling from the rooftops.

I think most of us are tougher than we think but our confidence has been eroded.

Pleased to meet you on hubpages and thank for taking the time to comment.

This poem touched me on such a deep level. I have been dealing with a situation in which I have felt as if I had no control. The ending of your poem gives me hope...

    Thank You for this poem.

    Dim Flaxenwick,

This is excellent and I felt you were pulling words straight from my heart and head. Speaking from experience, as you mentioned the fooling of others, I thought about how many of us suffer in silence and put on a happy face for the public and watch this heart-stomper, patted on the back for being such a wonderful man... if only they knew, yet who would tell them? What a beautiful write!

    Up, awesome, beautiful and sharing!

Be strong - you deserve better! It's sooo hard to break free when love, dependency, control and other factors come into play!

This said it all - and oh, so well!

Beautifully said. The conflict between our own knowledge and our hearts emotions is always there, pulling one way then the other.
