Dramatic Poetry: Midnight Snack Research

Updated on October 2, 2013
Heart shaped nebula
Heart shaped nebula | Source

While in the fridge

looking for a taste

of something fulfilling,
you press against
my bottom and grab

the homemade
chocolate raspberry
off my top shelf
and pull out

a strange spoon.
You feed me
your sweet
charm and whip
cream lovingly.

Standing up
in the dark, atomic,
run-down kitchen,
we intensely banter
with ambrosial flavors;

Marveling at how the right
combination of quarks and
chemistry can design the
most sensual and euphoric

For those of you that don't know, there are six flavors of quarks: up, down, strange, charm, bottom, and top. I wanted to aim my poem at the more scientifically inclined because my boyfriend is a nerd. Most people that don't know about the science stuff don't notice, but my brother who is a total geek caught it right away. I just want to see what other poets think of it.

Thanks so much. I wanted it to be steamy and suggestive to play with the imagination.

Ha, ha, yeah, ring my bell its on the other leg, atomic, quarks, um yes but all the other metaphors are far greater in number, with much more to suggest.

      Coolamondo, thanx, Gareth.

This is kind of steamy. I don't think you will find a more original idea regarding erotic love. I've seen food, and I have seen chemistry, but never seen them together lol.
