Mind Over Matter

A perfectly useless poem about that time when I attempted to fight my writer's block. It felt like everything I thought was silly and my mind, my inner voice would just not cooperate. But I saved this poem of mine as a reminder of this annoying time.... LOL!

Ahem Ahem Ahem

Mind are you straying again

Oh what the heck is wrong

You promised you would let me write

First it was work, then iTunes and now a game of Mahjong

Why is it so hard to focus you dimwit

I was in the mood to write a serious story

Thanks to you it fell apart bit by bit

And now you’re going….Pitter patter potter

This poem’s such a rotter

I’d rather read Harry Potter

Remind you if I will

Of our partnership deal

You give me the ideas

And I’ll make them real

Take a break and then come back to me

Into those unexplored subjects

Your help I need to see

So don’t give up on it just yet

Even though A.D.H.D will strike again I bet

Ok that was meant to be a joke

And what is that you say

You’ve been there

As this useless poem I type away?

Good one and true indeed

But now is not the time

I really expect you to lead

Alas you won't listen

when the plot should really thicken

Can't battle you anymore

Ho hum and what a bore

Shut it brain give it a rest

Mind you don't know what is best

But I feel  I can no longer win

I am tossing this in the recycle bin

Or may be pick it up another day

when my writer's block will go away

Its mind over matter

Honestly at this point

I don't mind and it doesn't matter
