Mirrored Reflection
Pieces Shatter Just Like the Truth
Here is a poem/ song i wrote
I’m the puppet to your strings
I’m the silence to your screams
I’m the truth to your lies
I’m the devil in disguise
I’m the pain you can’t get through
I’m the mirror reflection of you
I’m the web to your tangle
I’m the hands to your strangle
I’m the lack of air
I’m the flashing of despair
I’m the black vision that takes control
I’m the death that’s about to unfold
Losing sight on what is and what will be
Translucent images you’ll begin to see
No more reflection in front of you
Mirror shatters which resembles the truth
And you thought they would never find out
Secrets, just like your life, bleed out
Forever wishing you could change your past
Losing grip of your life and losing it fast
Now the true reflection of the mirror is clear
You stare to wonder who is actually there
Instead you fade away
You hope to be remembered one day
I’m sure they will remember your name
After all, you were the one who lived in shame
I have written many more poems since I published this one. This one is still one of my favorites and one that I am proud of. Their is a lot of aggression and emotion in this poem that has molded me. I enjoy going back to these older articles and poems and I can see how I have grown as a writer and a person.
