Missing Person - Is It You? Is It Me?

Updated on December 22, 2013

MISSING PERSON

Coming like a freight train off the tracks
takin' out everything in it's path

lost in the wreckage of the aftermath
I'm bleeding, still breathing

gotta get up now, it's time to move
used to sit back, taking in the view

anybody out there to hold onto?
I'm reaching, I'm reaching!

Using all of my strength
pulling out from the underneath
can't see for the trees and the falling leaves
covering every part of me

Missing person in my dreams
gather up the willing, search for me
bloodhounds on the prowl,
sniffing out my scene
laced with smoke and gasoline

Don't take my picture down
just cause I'm not around
don't put me in the ground
I'm lost until I'm found

Will you forget my name
when everything has changed?
I'm fighting through the pain
To make it through the flames

Yeah, yeah, yeah

coming like a freight train off the track
takin' out everything in its path
open my eyes, everything pitch black
I'm screaming, I'm screaming!

using all of my strength
clinch my fists and grit my teeth
can't see for the trees and the falling leaves
covering what is left of me

missing person in my dreams
gather up the willing, search for me
bloodhounds on the prowl
sniffing out my scene
laced with hope and tragedy

Don't take my picture down
just cause I'm not around
don't put me in the ground
I'm lost until I'm found

Will you forget my name
when everything has changed?
I'm fighting through the pain
To make it through the flames

scottstone, we are on an incessant search about ourselves. You have poured it out so beautifully in this very fantastic poem. Lovely piece !
