Misunderstandings -Textured meanings and layered renderings
The line between imagination and reality is as fine as the line between the spoken and the recieved message . Words are often interpreted by individuals from their personal point of view, colored and textured by their own thought processes and workings of the mind. The meaning of the rendered word could be so different from what is understood, assumed and interpreted or misinterpreted. Fiction and reality could often follow the same path, reality could easily blend into fiction and influence thought and action by rendering something that is a figment of one's imagination into something very real. This is perhaps why no fiction is far from reality and no reality further from fiction. This being so, misunderstandings are bound to happen when perceptions differ. Perceptions color and layer our thoughts and interpretation of the rendered word. It's indeed a great virtue to seek to understand than to be understood. The world would be a happier place if we could make the effort.
This haiku on misunderstanding aims to depict the process and fallout of misconstrued words.
Misunderstandings
Words hastily misconstrued,
Time moves on, broken,
Unspoken pain within!
Misinterpretation,
Colored by perceptions,
Wounded souls remain!
Layered meanings,
Real and imagined words,
Textured renderings!
Mind seeking its own,
Souls and spirits atone,
Disjointed lives!
In silence suffers
Impatiently violated Truth,
Until divulged!
