Mother May I...A NiaG Poem
Mother may I be what I want to be
Reach high above, past the tallest tree
Mother may I jump for the stars
Claim I'm a musician, fine tune some guitars
Mother may I walk around with a crown
Head held high, ruling the town
Mother may I think of a plan
Help reach out to every lady, child and man
Mother may I click the camera at last
Capturing smiles, framing the past
Mother may I stand on my toes
Curtsy and bow, a plie I will pose
Mother may I reach an octave or two
Will you weep at my debut
Mother may I help those in need of care
Listen to their heart and help them repair
Mother may I be the best I can be
Can't I be more than what the world expects from me
