Mothers Day Just Isn't The Same
Mothers Day just isn't the same
No homemade cards lovingly made
With glitter and glue and macaroni shells
No hand written words
Or little palm prints
That espouses how little hearts feel
No handmade craft
Spice rack or crooked mugs
No tiny feet around the house
No laughter and excitement
No paper hearts or paper flowers made from crepe
That tiny hands helped to make
My Mothers Day just isn't the same
Now that you are all grown up
Instead, we get roses aplenty
Dinners out and generic cards
But if you ask each Mother truly
Those handmade cards with macaroni hearts
And gold and silver sprinkles, crooked mugs
Made by tiny hands is what truly makes
Our Mothers Day more special.
I saw a comment on someone's post that simply said: "Mothers Day Just isn't the same". From that, I wrote my experience's the things my Children have made, and their simple gifts, or just a simple wish.
