My Day In Haiku!

Updated on March 23, 2012

Alarm clock buzz buzz

Set the time to wake, ignore

Overslept again!

No breakfast this morn

Grabbed chips and run for the door

Stomach gurgle, ick.

Newspapers calling

I deliver news to you

You are still sleeping.

Finished past deadline

No complaints from you to me

Thank you customer.

Grocery store trip

So empty early today

Staples: milk, bread, gum.

A quick nap in car

I snore and wake myself up

Little girl laughing.

Next stop HubPages

Write some words about my day

Receive rave reviews!

Lunch is next: pizza!

Pepperoni is the best.

Stomach likes me now.

Catch up on TV

Survivor is OnDemand

Colton is gone: Bye!

I should clean the house

Washed dishes, time for a break

More TV: Simpsons!

Yawn! A boring day

Not too much to write about

But you are still here.

Dinner is a treat

White beans, onion, fried cornbread

Stomach full again!

My bed is calling

Must set alarm to wake up

Will I ignore it?

Goodnight dear Hubbers

A story awaits in dreams

Tell all tomorrow!

Joe, I can just be listening to a game on the TV or radio and I feel so much better. It's just a nice sound and a definite mood enhancer for me!

I sure hate when people complain like that as well. It feels when they are doing that they are looking for attention and they are about drama. I can't stand drama. But,you are right when you say that it hurts my eyeballs with how much rolling they do with hearing them complain. That is what makes baseball so much fun. I can just sit back, relax, and watch the game and forget about things for a little while.

Joe, thank you very much! I appreciate the comment!

I'm usually busy doing something, but I'm not one to complain. I'm not one of those people that have to tell everyone around them how busy they are and how they never get a chance to sit down or eat or sleep...etc. It's like it's a contest to see who does more and who gets less sleep! I know people like that and they make my eyes sore from rolling them so much!

It sounds like you have a very busy day. But, you do a great job writing. Your poems and stories are written so well. You can't go wrong with pepperoni pizza and The Simpsons. It will brighten up anyones day!

Gypsy, I actually have enough time for sleep, but I have too many things I like to do and sleep just gets in the way. Well, sleep is another favorite thing to do, but I usually end up sleep deprived because I'm out playing! When I do take the time to sleep, I end up being so sore because I end up sleeping for 12 hours! Not good for me, but it's what I do!

Bill, it is crazy hours and not enough sleep, but I like what I do! Plus it gives me the freedom to write many hours during the day!

That sounds like a menu for me on any given day! I had a newspaper route for a year; just quit four months ago. Crazy hours, unsettled life, said enough of that. Great haiku(s)...sleep well!
