My Day In Photos And Rhyme

Updated on March 13, 2012

Today

Charming, charming small town feel.

Courthouse square so full of appeal.

Blue, blue cloudy skies.

Stuffy lawyers all in ties.

Source

Green, green aromatic grass.

Cheerful, singing birds fly past.

Leafless, leafless budding trees.

Ol' Red, White, & Blue swaying in the breeze.

Source

Busy, busy to and fro.

People to see, places to go.

Crooked, crooked steps out front.

Toddler crawling up with a grunt.

Source

Breeze, breeze blowing, tickling my nose.

The smell of lunch, stomach starts to groan.

Flying, flying airplane overhead.

Heated conversation, can't hear what's being said.

Source

Waving, waving wildflowers in the sun.

Car alarm beeping over there to no one.

Source

Musical, musical wind chimes playing out a tune.

More people meander, it'll soon be noon.

Warm, warm temperatures creating a beautiful day.

Scary looking wasp stops in to say 'hey!'.

Source

Driving, driving down the road for a bit.

Searching for some lunch and a place to sit.

Yummy, yummy hamburgers, eating 'em in the parking lot.

People watching, cloud watching, it sure was hot!

Source

Sweet, sweet desserts kept dancing in our minds.

Went looking for some sugar to enlarge our big behinds!

Spray, spray in traffic from a refrigerated truck.

Water all inside the car, Honey screaming 'what the f*ck?!'.

Source

Cold, cold ice cream waiting for us inside.

Drive-thru line so long, I nearly died.

Sleepy, sleepy was my little trip home.

Enjoyed my day. Did you enjoy my poem?

Joe, that sounds like a great idea! I'll have to look into that!

That would be a great idea to travel and take your camera along. You can travel to different baseball stadiums around the country and take pictures of them since you enjoy baseball so much. I would like to do that myself one day. I can't wait to check out a Nashville Sounds game this summer

Joe, it is beautiful here, but I'd like to travel one day just so my camera can see some different scenery! Ha! I think I'll do that one day, I'll take a photo of my camera on vacation! I don't think I've been on a vacation since 2004! Not even to the Smoky Mountains!

      Thanks for the comment!

Those are some beautiful pictures that you took. I need to make it back down to Tennessee soon! It is such a beautiful state. The drive through the great smoky mountains is breathtaking.

Gypsy, it is beautiful here, but one day I would like to see the Catskills, too! I probably told you this before, but I've wanted to visit since "Dirty Dancing" came out!

      Thank you!

Great photos to illustrate your lovely poem - conveyed a carefree atmosphere with a few niggles for contrast - great observation - lovely read and brought a few smiles. Voted up, beautiful and interesting.

Voted up and sounds delightful! I always enjoyed my sleepy, hot summer days in the N.Y. Catskills. Now when I get back to the states Tennessee will also be on my list of places to get a look at. Nice pics.

Very nice photos and verse. Weather looked great too. A little snow here overnight, now 38 & rainy, so TN looks really good with all that sun and Spring.

I've never been to Tennessee but if they have DQ's I'll plan on going. Great pics and lovely poems and it is just a pleasure to read and see your work.
