My Quest is But Your Quest, O Chela. A Sonnet

Manatita is an esteemed author living in London, UK. He writes spiritual books, flash fiction and esoteric poetry, his favourite genre.

To Jodah, aka John Hansen, For The Love of Art and Beauty Sublime

My quest is but your quest, O Chela!

Why run to the broken Pillars of Darkness,

When the musk of All you seek,

Is within the re-awakening of your shining Spirit?

I seek Him in the Essence of the Self;

You, in the elusiveness of Shadows:

A grasping, of the impermanence of smoke,

That rides on the Wings of fading Time.

O Seeker, Come! Let us marry our longing together;

Rent asunder this veil of night;

Remain speechless in the unbroken Silence of Delight,

And face the immutable One alone.

Then our masks would be erased by currents of Light. Where,

Lost in Stupor, we’ll dine at the Banquet, of the Beloved One.

      Thanks Brother.

      You think of me in spite of your heavy schedule, and this is fine. Do what you can. I enjoy seeing you here but recognise that you have a lot to do and essential duty of care to the family. You do miss some of the truly great ones, though. Much love to you and family today.

      Very heavenly, yes. At the end of the day, I know only Oneness as Sri Chinmoy taught. I do not see two, or even Separation.

      Beauty and Delight in Silence. So enriching! The few times that I've felt this, has left me in joyful tears, and speechless beyond measure. Much love, my Dee.

      Bro, feeling oneness with the whole consciousness is not that easy. We all want happiness, sweet words, company of nice guys etc. etc...We lose our cool the moment someone pricks our ego and says some harsh words.

      This poem is not a simple poem, brother, you want us to put asunder the dark veil. Are we ready ? To feel oneness is to crucify oneself, go beyond all prejudices and conditionings.

      Dear brother, I love your insight, I love your divine words. May the Absolute take us to the light and to the awakening. Your poetry always cheers my heart. Great poetry.

      You show a remarkable understanding, Brother Harish. Yes, it is a difficult task.

      "Life perfection-road is very long, but the journey is richly rewarding." -Sri Chinmoy.

      Thank you once more for your kind and wise words. Om Shanti!

      Thank you for dedicating a sonnet to me manatita. I chose "bliss of oneness with all hearts" in the poll because that is what I felt reading this delightful poem. Beautiful images as well. Voted up.

      Thanks Jodah. Wise choice. Truly wise choice. The life of the Divine Incarnation is one with and bleeds for all Hearts. What a worthy pursuit; the purpose of our quest.

      So happy that you came. You're a fine writer and poet yourself. Many higher blessings today.
