My Straight Line

Updated on July 23, 2012

Objects aligned all in a row

Nothing out of place can cause sorrow

The last bite or two of a pizza roll

Two paper cups filled with water so cold

An ipod with earphones can also be seen

What can it all possibly mean?

Will order among chaos rescue me

From the darkness left behind in days of blue?

Each item holds magical powers and love

To spill a cup means the death of a dear one

To spill two would mean mankind is doomed

There is not one God – but many Lords

I saw them and they are not of this world

You must trust my silence and secrecy

It’s for my own safety

And for your own good it seems

Soon all will be revealed

In gold dust covered time

When I whisper in your ear

That I died and returned many times

To save you and the world

From evil and harm

A girl like me will take arms

But you must try to

Look for the mystery sign

In my straight line

Your poetry reminds me of "magical thinking"...not superstition, more powerful than even that. Like the child that believes they can create a calamity or avert a catastrophic event with their thoughts...and believing is a powerful force. Awesomely powerful, scrittobene

I would regard the above lines as reference to a close encounter or a paranormal experience. This is interesting prose and leaves one wondering. Well done.
