My favorite mornings

 I have always been told that the best things in life are worth waiting for, looking at him sleep now I can completely believe that. I smile as he wraps his warm arms around me instictivly as he continues to sleep despite that it is ten in the morning. His face so at peace and his beautiful brown eyes searching for something in his dreams. I leaned my head down and kissed his soft mouth and watched it twitch into a brief smile before falling back into it peaceful state. His dark hair unchanged despite all the times he moved around. The only sound there is while I lay there admirring his face is his breathinig, how even they are as he draws them in and releases them. I rest my cheek, which is slightly cooler than his skin, and listen to my favorite sound. His heart beats quickly as I first press my ear to his chest and I can not help but smile. As i lay there i can hear it calming and the beats slow to a steadier pace and it is lulling as i listen to only that and feel the rise and fall of his chest.
As I lay there partly asleep, soothed by his sleeping state, he lifts his hand and ever so gently touches my face with it and I know hes awake. I let his large warm fingers carress my face ever so gently as though he were to apply any more pressure and it might shatter. I smiled unable to hide it anylonger and he pulls my chin up to see me. His eyes so dark brow i feel as though i could be lost in them and his mile so brilliant it is as though i look into the face of an angel.He kisses me and i know he loves me in return, he closes his eyes as we touch and I open mine just a hair to peek at him. There is nothing more perfect than this moment, this morning right here right now, with him forever & always.
