My favourite Chatterbox

Updated on November 5, 2015

Today is a very special day

It's my favourite chatterbox's birthday

Though I'm not a big fan of chatterboxes

He's the most amusing of all the chatterboxes.

Some may say he's a big fat liar

Finding someone to be his listener is his desire

I find him amusing as he starts with one and ends with another

And I'm very fond of him as he's a creative younger brother.

When you write words what's in his mind and heart

Many will see you as a very talented and creative person in art

But if you say it, people won't believe doesn't matter

Being who you are is what really matters.

As long as your stories don't hurt or humiliate someone

As long as your stories don't bring harm to anyone

I don't see anything wrong with story telling

In fact it's a good way to let it out when things are overwhelming.

His friendly warm chatter makes me laugh

I enjoy his company as he's not serious but fun to laugh

So I pray that God will keep His special Angels on him

As he steps into this new year may he be blessed to the brim!

Psalm 71:6
From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb. I will ever praise you.

Psalm 139:13
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. (

Psalm 148:5
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for at his command they were created ...

Just noticed

Bus Ride

I was waiting and waiting finally it came

Small loaf of bread on four wheels

Me and my sister got into it as we were late

We comfortably sat on the last of the seats.

Then an elderly very slim man came and sat next to me

In his shoes he trampled my small feet

It was so hurtful I had a good look at him

To see he was enjoying a king coconut drink.

I felt sad to see his trouser with few holes

Yet he was clean for someone who is old

So I didn't say anything as I prayed God

Not to make sure I won't get my feet swollen.

I remember twice my feet was swollen

As they were trampled with men's shoes

Thank God I can walk without no trouble

I did my studies well and came home with my sister.

Then there was another young man who got in

He had a silver briefcase and was sweating

He's a giant who reminded me of my cousin brother

Who is talented in dubbing and repairing computers.

After sometime another gentleman got in

He reminded me of the Sweetest Pooh's extended goatee

That day i was a surprise to see Pooh with hair on the face of his

He looked very smart and matured young looking.

Inside the bus it was written 'OM' in tamil

The conductor's full beard reminded me of my father

I was happy that my sister was with me

Thank God the bus ride was smooth and quick.

Bird Shop

Top of the road there's a bird shop

They put different birds on a cage out side

Every time I see birds put a smile in my heart

God's creative wonderful art.

There were some sparrows, love birds and some more

I don't know the names of all the birds

I think there were pigeons and doves in sinhala we call 'Pareviya'

I heard it was the colour difference that given the names.

I wanted to buy one and keep one with me

Then again caging alone would make it more sadder

Besides my mom said three of us are more than enough

So I just enjoy and admire the birds in a distance.

Food places

There are two places where we enjoy the food mostly

Food joints where their cooked food is yummy

Different rice and curries fill my hungry tummy

Small places like home cooked food is so yummy.

The food I prepare some days are edible

We eat out as I'm not an expert in cooking vegetables

Besides we are able to taste different vegetables

It's quick and easy with our time table.

Whenever we buy food from out

I ask God to bless the hands that helped

Also time to time I try to learn new recipes

So I'll be training myself to do things when I live all alone.

Interesting bus ride

I especially liked the one about the birds and the lovely image of the budgerigars. They are native to Australia and many years ago I used to breed them. It was such fun wondering what colour feathers the naked little hatchlings would turn out to have. They were so pretty.
