My humorous take on ' The Don ' saying, " President Clinton degraded women. " Satire poetry.

Updated on January 7, 2016

I am a writer of poetry and fiction. I especially love flash fiction. My name is Ruby, and I live in Southern Illinois. I am a retired R.N.

Source

Hillary ' ain't ' gonna turn him loose'

Well shucks, looks like ' The Don ' is turning on my man Bill

I remember when he loved the Clintons, giving large sums to fill their political till

He says Bill degraded women, truth is they chased him and couldn't catch the good looking dude

I might add he never ever claimed to be a goody two-shoes prude

He did promise to get our country rockin' after daddy Bush nearly ' ruint ' our economy, and all possibilities of recovery looked really bleak

Wooah! I can hardly wait to hear my main man speak

He ' ain't ' as cute since old age set in,

but he still has that cute little side grin

I know I ' ought ' to be ashamed for feeling this way,

but I ' ain't ' ' cos ' I felt it in the ninety's and still today

Shucks I might as well admit I'm hooked, but Hillary ' ain't ' gonna ' turn him loose

I'd say she loves the ' Golden Goose '

That laid the Golden Egg that made me a little money when interest rates on my CD,s went sky-high

Those were the good-ole-days, long gone, bye- bye

Post Note

Whether you're democrat or republican, please vote. We are on the verge of losing our civil liberties. We have always welcomed all good people who want to come to America for a better life. Building a wall to keep good people out is un-American. Remember when China built the great wall and President Reagan said, " Tear down that wall. " Thank you for reading.

I agree Shyron. Trump will do anything for that dollar, including selling out America. People are not seeing the real man. His followers are mostly the people who has been left out of the economy. They see Trump as a savior. How very sad that is. He cares nothing about the poor. He wants power. The republican party hates him. I think it's funny in a way. The elite has ruled the GOP for years, now the poor rules the roost. LOL. Take care my friend..Hugs.

Ruby, Ruby my dear friend, we are all created equal in the eyes of God, but there are many men that no matter what they say are of the mindset that women are not their equal and when they immigrate to another country they plan and attempt to turn that country into the country they immigrated from.

Trump’s wall, I was listening to how Trump went to Scotland bought property and built a golf course. He tried to TAKE the property of neighbors by eminent-domain, when he was unsuccessful; he built a high wall and sent that neighbor the bill LOL

America never stopped being great, that is why all the other countries want to come here.

Blessings and Hugs my dear friend.

Hello Greensleeves. Thank you for clearing that up for me. My neighbor and I talked last evening and she is worried about her 401k, thinking it will lose value because the stock market is reacting to the withdrawal of the UK from the Union. I think it's a wait and see situation. People react too quickly sometimes. I love the idea that the UK is color blind. We have a long way to go here in America until we realize we all are equal. Best Wishes....

That's OK Ruby! I figured my joke about taking down the hub had backfired, so I felt I ought to write that second comment just to check :)

Regarding immigrants (just one of the issues debated) the border won't be closed Trump-style. That is far too draconian and insular, and almost nobody would want to do that (we don't have any significant Trump-like politicians thankfully). The problem is that as members of the European Community, no Government has the right to prevent free movement by European Union citizens. In other words there is no limit on who or how many migrants come from Eastern European countries to the UK, seeking a better standard of living. The desire of those on the 'Leave' side is not to close the border, but to take back control over who can come to the UK. Don't worry - there will still be migrants and refugees admitted to the UK - the difference is that the UK will be able to decide who comes. (And unlike Trump it won't be based on race or religion). Hope that clarifies. Best wishes, Alun :)

Hello Greensleeves Hubs. I must apologize. I thought you wanted me to take this hub down, now I see that you think Hillary would do a better job running our country. About the European Union. I see England withdrew and I guess it was the will of the working class. We are feeling the effect today, the stock market is down. Maybe it is a good move. From what I read your country is overrun with migrants. Perhaps the new leader will close the borders, that's what Trump wants to do here. I disagree. We are a nation of emigrants. I know terrorist are coming in, but there must be a better way to fix the problem. Thank you for coming back. I have enjoyed our conversation.

Really Ruby? I know it's a detour from the theme of your poem, but I've heard very little on American views on our referendum. I wonder what Americans make of it? As for your election, I really can't believe that the majority would vote for Trump in November. I do trust that sense will indeed prevail and that Hillary Clinton wins. She may not be everybody's cup of tea, but at least she's sane and she won't repel America's friends in the rest of the world :)

Hello Greensleeves, I wouldn't consider taking this hub down, I had too much fun writing it and quite a few people enjoyed it as well. I must say that you have more to worry about in the UK with the fight going on to either remain or leave the European Union. We Americans keep up with your policies and fights, which to us is laughable at times. I think we'll still be laughing in November when Hillary is sworn in as our first woman president, and I might add, Bill will be by her side. Whooh, it can't get any better than that. Cheers....

Well Ruby, I wonder if Hillary reads HubPages and realises she still hasn't gotten rid of all the rivals for Bill's affections. You should take down this hub - you surely wouldn't want to distract her from her main task over these next few months? :)

Besides you couldn't really have picked an easier person to laugh at than Donald Trump could you? Outside of America the whole world laughs with incredulity when Donald throws his toys out of his pram. We just hope the laughing doesn't turn to shock, bewilderment and despair in November! Alun

Hi Miz Bejabbers. I remember when he was that slim, curly headed HUNK. I loved to hear him laugh. I also remember seeing him standing over his mother's grave, he looked so sad. He certainly was not born into wealth. I think that's one reason I admired him so much. Thank you for your return visit. I have a son who lives in Imboden Arkansas. He is a staunch republican. Boo! I have been watching and listening to the pundits and it seems Trump is growing stronger each day. I watched the caucus the other night and it looks like he's going to be the GOP nominee. He says that he's not going to the debate, instead he will raise money for our veteran's, which is great. He would outsmart Cruz anyway. Thanks for returning and commenting.

Watch the caucuses in Iowa and the turnout in NH to see whether or not the folks who don't usually vote are turning out this time, and what percentage of those are Trump backers. That will say a lot about whether or not the usual "bench sitters" will show up at the polls in November, and show how much greater (than zero) their votes are likely to be.

Hello perspicacious. I have never doubted Trump's accomplishments. He is a smart man, and I hope if he wins the election he will do all the things he's promised, except building a wall to keep good people from coming to America. I must say that I like the idea of him funding his own campaign, that means he won't owe anyone any favors. Thanks for your input to what I hoped was a humorous satire.

Some people will always resent another person's success, especially if that success is extraordinary. Demonizing the other candidate is considered "politically correct" by those who do the demonizing.

What he (Trump) has set out to do, he has done, and this time around many want to see the jobs, the controls, the accomplishments he is pledging to do in the face of what has been "insiders" stagnation.

It is no surprise he has some following and leads.

Though this was a humorous read, you made some important points. There is a lot of hate going around these days. We have to love one another and try to work together. It is scary how popular Trump is right now. But, the majority of people don't vote so . . .

You certainly have a point. I wish I had a good answer. I think the reason President Obama didn't do anything the two years when he had a chance was because he didn't have the votes from the democrats who had lined their pockets from special interest groups. Thanks again for your comment.

Sounded to me as if we are to hope for health cost savings and more taxes that health care savings we don't have yet are supposed to offset (Senator Sanders), or more taxes without the health care savings and hope that an unelected ex-POTUS is supposed to guide the over-indebted USA to prosperity "starting over the White House kitchen table" (Secretary Hillary.)

Obama didn't do it (except the deeper and deeper debt part) when he had majorities in both houses of the Congress. Could it be dreaming that the senator or secretary could do it when they won't have control of either house of Congress?

Hello perspicacious. Do you actually believe that building a wall would keep the terrorists out? I think not. The only way to stop them is a coordinated effort of all countries to rid their areas of these killers. I know that Trump has many followers, I am just not one of them. Thank you for the visit and your view. This is America and we still have freedom of speech..

I seem to remember someone recently saying, "I don't lock my door to keep the good people in. I lock it to keep the bad people out." Folks like to take Mr. Trump's words and whittle them down to their size, add their own spin, and try to erase him." [Not an unheard of political tactic; it happens in every presidential candidate's campaign, especially to front runners.] He said nothing about keeping "good people out." He said to halt letting potentially bad people in, until we can know enough about who we are letting in, and right now we wouldn't know, as told to us by the Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation.

In the name of "openness" and "traditional values" who among us wants to accept responsibility for the deaths of those Americans the radical jihadist terrorists are vowing to kill as often as they can?

Personally, I don't have anything against the man. I think he's entertaining, and enormously street savvy in knowing how to use the media to his advantage. I just can't take him seriously whenever he steps out of his own wheelhouse...it's too funny. (I think it would be a hoot to watch Don try to take on Bill in a debate. What a dance that would be.) Thank you for the chuckle, Ruby. It's been a jungle of a week and this was just the right tonic the doctor ordered. Hugs.
