My Own New View (poem)

Updated on September 22, 2015

What is the reason for my mood today

When all around looms darkness and despair

That marvel at my whimsical display

Not sensing there is jasmine in the air

What struck my heart and brought about a song

When deafened souls parade a phantom pride

Pretending all the while they sing along

A path I set with style amidst my stride

Of course there is much more that could be right

About the situation we are in

To give some season to an endless night

Which brings a gleaming to this impish grin

Behold the mirror there in front of you

The only world which I now choose to view

Shades of Shakespeare! Well done and well thought. "The mirror in front of you" that's the one to watch!

Well written poem and I loved the video. Perfect match.

I see comments about the video and now I am curious what video matches so well. It's gone, YouTube declaring it no longer exists.
