NaPoWriMo: a poem a day for 30 days

A haiku

paired in day's gold light

heads bow to meet dusk's purple

her petals weep dew

Hi lanbservant--thank you--just seeing what depths I can explore within myself this month--

I have one book and one chapbook compiled into manuscript. I have been sending them to competitions and different chapbook publishers but have had no luck. Maybe it is time to look at self publication. CreateSpace was the medium used when The Creative Exiles compiled an anthology. The end product looks pretty professional. Jamie

Beautiful Audrey. Wonderful beginning to Poetry Month. I was curious if you have started any collections for publication. I have compiled a few book length collections and would like to hear how some of my favorite poets are doing? P.S. I hope all is well with your surgery. My mom had her hip replaced and she has fully recovered it was hard for her but she has a spring to her step again. Jamie

Loved the haiku. Audrey it always seems that March breezes by and then comes April and I am caught by surprise that poetry month is here again. However I have been doing the challenge for a number of years now so this year is no different. I always seem to be racing to catch up but I do manage to put in a poem a day.

This is quite sad, I hate to think of flowers weeping as the sun goes down.

A 30-day challenge, I'm looking forward to your next installment.

What a stunning haiku. I read your bio. I did not know you were a psychotherapist. Reading your poetry to clients could bring lots of joy and even healing.

You say it's National Poetry Month. Are you writing for a contest or just blessing us all here on HP?

Since I don't do poetry I get to sit back and enjoy all of your efforts. That, my friend, is a huge gift, so thank you!
