Nature Show

Updated on March 6, 2012

Light subtley grows brighter
Rising to the top of the stage

The scene is illuminated fully
And the props reveal their colors

A breeze blows-
And on Cue
The trees begin to dance

The trees dance
Swaying merrily left to right
In perfect time

The wind cues again-
The bushes join in

Suddenly
Birds and insects
Join in with their songs

And there were highlights to be sure

A majestic elm soloing in a
Gentle breeze was a sight to behold

As the elm finished
A Cardinal picked up the tune
To carry the show on

Three curious squirrels had
Made a bashful appearance
Before scrambling back up their tree-
To be followed by a pair of rabbits
Who were much friendlier

The light began to dim quickly

The trees took their final bows
The birds quit singing
As the lights go dark

The show was over
