Nature's Display: A Poem
Nature's Display
The sweet breeze blew in across the windowsill
My sleeping body approving the touch
Newly born buds whispering in my ear
Stirring me, but not too much.
My early morning wake-up call
Nature displaying her best in the golden light
I’m nudged again by the pleasant scent
Gently my eyes open to experience the sight.
Lazily I lounge on air-cooled sheets
Warm sun kissing me on my fingers and toes
I bask in the glory of this quiet moment in bed
As she once again sends the breeze to tickle my nose.
I go to the window and answer her request
The daffodils wave as the birds start to sing
This special moment comes but once a year
That sweet scented first day of Spring!
