Nature’s Lullaby poetry by Ashley Pentycofe
Nature’s Lullaby
The moon is a mirror of the sun
A reflection of its incandescence
Flecks of stars scintillate in the sky
Together they manage the orchestra in a magisterial way
The Spring Peepers are the main chorus
They screech in a soothing rhythm
The bull frog belches and the owl whos
These sounds bounce from tree to tree echoing the maker’s perfection
The fire flies sparkle in rhythm with the music
They move through the air pulsating with light
The wakeless rhythm lulls me to a state of rest
I drink up this time with nature while the rest of the world sleeps
