"Near By" Country Lyrics

Updated on November 19, 2011

I was surrounded by darkness

When she first appeared

Caught in my emotions

Why she was here

Through the smoke and commotion

She whispered to me

She said it's not your time

Your in the in between

She gently touched my face

I never felt so at peace

The world off my shoulders

With her here with me

CHROUS

I closed my eyes

And I knew right a way

That this was to be

My lucky day

When I finally woke up

Wiped a tear from my eye

She was nowhere in sight but sometimes

I still feel her near by

I nearly lost my life that night

That car rolled eleven times

And what I discovered

Seemed so hard to find

The value of life

We take for granted everyday

We should proceed with caution

In a blink, it's gone away

CHORUS

I closed my eyes

I knew right away

That this was to be

My lucky day

When I finally woke up

Wiped a tear from my eye

She was nowhere in sight but sometimes

I still feel her near by

I closed my eyes

I knew right away

An Angel saved my life

On that August day

When I finally woke up

That's when I realized

She had always been there

Standing near by

ABOUT THE SONG...

This song is about a person that is in a vehicle accident and he is visited by an Angel. This was a song that I wrote a few years ago and I wrote it here as I originally wrote it down. I haven't edited this song. I enjoy writing inspirational lyrics, lyrics that people can relate to. I like to include a strong message in my songs when possible.

The main reason I enjoy writing songs is because music helps people in many ways. It can make us happy, sad, tired, excited, and so many other emotions. It can also provide comfort and understanding. My biggest joy in life is helping others that are in need. I was in this position before when a stranger helped me. Helping people is what makes me happy.

To all my readers, I thank you for your loyal support and all your time. Please know, I try to show my appreciation to you all. God gave me this beautiful gift and I know he wouldn't have given it to me if he didn't want me to use it. I want to heal the world through my lyrics. That is my dream. I hope you have enjoyed this song as much as I did.

Femme, thank you very very much for your kind words, they put a smile on my face:) To pick up on my spirit as you do, that is quite impressive and you are spot on. Very impressive. Perhaps it is your gift cause that is exactly how I write, from the heart. I listen to it and simply write:)

      Lyric,

Every time I open one of your new posts, I'm already smiling before I even engage in the read.

You have this wonderful special spirit about you and without fail, it flows off the pages like spring rain. Even when your words relay a sad situation, I smile anyway, because I know you write from what flows from your heart.

This one, as always, is beautiful. :)

WD, thanks for coming by and it would be great to collaberate. I am always open when it comes to music. I am always writing new songs, but I haven't published my best ones. It is just so hard to get noticed. Youtube would be a big plus though, but I do not have the eqipment just yet. I would like to hear you playing though.

It's Thanksgiving. I'm not spending much time with this today. I wanted to come by and hear a song. I play one mean harp and I could tear this up. Maybe I'll get up with Pure Ocean Productions this weekend and show you what I mean. No promises, those boys are young, and they are hard to redirect sometimes.

I like your versatility. I should come by more often.

I love your song. The lyrics are beautiful and inspirational.

I think people want to listen to songs that they can relate to or that speaks to their emotions. Your song does both.

AE, that is also a great choice. He also sings songs of this nature. I actually saw him on television last night. He was actually admitting that he had a close call. Someone tried to mess with him when he was younger, a man I believe, but he said he ran away. The interview was related to the Penn State thing.

PDX, I have always centered my lyrics in a Brad Paisley style, well, most of them. You make a good point. Every singer has a certain style. I have thought about this and certain songs have certain singers. As for this one, I would have to choose Rascal Flatts. I believe they offer the true meaning of this song.

Rosemay, you are so inspirational:) Music does have that power to make us feel that way. I don't know what it is about it, but music is special to humanity. It can remind us of people, places, and events; future or past. It can make us happy, sad, mad, excited, ect. It can save lives even. I want to be part of that. I am hoping to add more songs and hopefully one tonight, well easrly morning. Thanks for your friendship Rosemay. It is special:)

Once our eyes are open to the spiritual, the unfolding of our mind is amazing. Continue to share your lyrics and pray over them. God will lead the person who needs them to you if they will allow Him to move in their life. Your obedience is pleasing to Him.

HBN thank you very much for the visit and your touching comment. Thank you so much. HBN, I must admit, I wasn't sure of my spiritual path until a few months back. I know he came to me and he made me a believer. I believe I know what he wants from me and I believe lyrics are my calling. What better way to reach many people? Thank you for your votes, prayers, and friendship HBN. It all means a lot to me.

I loved the song and it rang so true to me. Things like this do happen and when they do it changes our life forever.

I also love how in touch you are with your own spiritual nature as evidenced by this sentence: "God gave me this beautiful gift and I know he wouldn't have given it to me if he didn't want me to use it. I want to heal the world through my lyrics." I shall say a prayer today asking that your gift touches someone's life today and that your songs reach ever more people.

Voted up across the board except for funny.
