Never Cross the Border

Never Cross the Border

We all know love wins the heart of the world

What to do if guys love but use of violence

Flowers, the enchanting hues, who can ignore

What if when the scent invites death of garden

To be in one's heart ,what blessing one asks for

Be far from near , what more misery one invites

All know, this world becomes unkind sometime

What if the closest one turns life into an abyss

Everyone longs for a friend to walk hand in hand

Hate surfaces like a snake, how to trudge along

They say, assume this whole mankind our family

Everyone confined to himself, how to open locks

Who we say accused, who we assume victimized

When injustice prevails no end, no love survives

The line about the closest one to us turning life into an abyss is powerful. I like the way in which you've contrasted love and hate, Harish.

Yes, Venkatachari M , you are right. when conflict is created in life, it is very hard to maintain calm again. Nevertheless, nothing is impossible if there is a will to do so. Thanks for your constant support and valuable comments.

Great lines. A good take on the contradicting facts of life. One needs much patience, understanding, and calmness in dealing with such situations of life.

Where love does not exist, there is no hope! Let us both spread love wherever we go, my friend.

Thank you John, hate is a temporary phase, ultimately good notions will prevail. The world needs peace and prosperity.

Violence and love are two opposites aren't they, Harish. Hate is he true evil in the world today. Good message in this poem.

manatita, my brother, I read that great poem just now. Glad you found similarity of this poem with that wonderful creation of yours. You are very generous.

Flow hinders due to translation from Hindi to English. This is a translation of one of my Hindi language poems.

Thanks for all support and nice comments, brother.

You remind me of my 'The Scales of Justice Tilt ... and tilt it does sometimes. Your message is clear and your words powerful. It reads, though, as if there is a problem with 'flow.' What do you think? Great poetry from you!
