Never Mine To Own
They were never mine to own
They were just mine to play and care for
To support at a distance
A love without titles and name
They don’t need me
They love me but they don’t need me
My advice are no good to them
They know better, they are wiser
My life is an open book
I have no secrets nor stories to hide
But they have their little closet
Its theirs and I have to respect it
To be and not to be
To exist and have no name
I am not alone cause they are mine but
I am alone cause I am not theirs
Much from a far
I peep into their lives
I had invited myelf in
Maybe its time to leave
And only come when I am invited
Many lessons I learned
Sad it came much later in life
But wise man says its not too late
Perhaps its better late than never
Accept I must the fate written in my name
Accept I must the truth before me
Love is not only true when you own someone
Love is truer when you don't capture it in your past.
