New Platform and Change is Refreshing

Updated on May 1, 2017

Welcome

Please feel at home here. We have a very brisk wind coming in from the east and that generally means change is in store. If you are feeling the chill I have hot chocolate, hot tea and for the brave some campfire coffee.

Welcome to the Fireside and the news of change being in the wind which I will share with you right shortly for please huddle in close and bask in the glow of the fire.

Feeling the Chill

As many of the old gang here have learned over the years there has been considerable change. Many have stopped writing, many of you have moved onto other platforms. The work the writers have poured into their work is immense but the revenue or remittance has dwindled to near pennies.

Restriction of how you write, what you write and just how it is to be presented have seen the decline. I am an old hand here as some may recall. Do you recall the day when we knew each others pets names, cities and area were we call home. Community was strong but alas that has changed. Living in a box is not much fun anymore.

Thus one has to open the door and seek what the heart desires. The Fireside has always been a place for sharing life and well doing life together. As you are all well aware I am no technical writer, never have been and likely never will be.

"Another One Bites the Dust"....not really, I always know where to find you, brother. It always saddens me a bit when one of the old-timers leaves HP, but I sure do understand. Oh well, I'll see you on Facebook and your site.

      Hugs from Oly

Nice of you to come back from time to time to let us know how you are doing. But I will not miss you anymore as I join you on your new platform.

I do hate to see you go, but I understand. So many have left and I do miss them. I tried two other sites and got homesick for HP. I do not write for money, thank goodness, I'd be starving!!!! Come back and see us often..Cheers..

Rolly, I will subscribe to your Weebly site. I had a website there for a few years, but discontinued it when I went back to work. It seems I don't have the time to write much anymore and I definitely am no longer a writer for hire, which is what Bravewarrior's Feathered Pen (on Weebly) was all about.

Love the photo of you above. It's nice to finally put a face to the friend I've had for about five years now!
