Night (I, II, III)
Night I
Distant eyes of fire,
blinking through the void.
Hinting, haunting, teasing...
laughing while I stare.
Eternal guides
of night-time skies.
But, I laugh last...
As they fade to the light of a new day.
Night II
Hear the darkened silence,
broken by a chorus...
not of voices,
but of tiny explosions.
As the raindrops,
in lonely unison,
cease their decent.
Night III
Moonlight blurred
by shifting clouds
riding the winds
of midnight dreams.
And whispers,
days yet to come,
breaking free
and shining down
to the ocean,
so majestic,
as dreamers
stir in their sleep.
