"No Amount Of Money Buys Happiness For Anyone"
Today, will live in a world of materialistic gain. We're always chasing dollars and trying to get rich quick, if we can. I don't think the elusive get rich quick books on how to obtain wealth quickly will do it. Don't forget the cheap way to riches is buy a winning lottery ticket, to help make our dreams of being rich come true. Who am I to criticise, the bible says time and chance happens to us all. There are people that are born with the proverbial silver spoon in their mouth and then there's the one's that catch a ride on the coat tails of someone that's already got the means to make it anywhere. If you have money to burn, than I guess that's a big blessing, but we shouldn't make money our idol, because to do so is a sin.. I have met women that think because a man ride in a fancy car, and have money up the yang-yang, he's all that and they will do what ever it takes to get close to him, because they're looking for someone to buy them the world and everything that's in it.
Don't get me wrong, I know there's a lot of men out there, that's looking for the same in a women with means, especially the young ones. The only thing wrong with this picture is, we're selling ourselves short, because of materialistic gain. Going after a rich mogul for a means to an end, will not end up happy in the end, because he'll realize that it's not him that you're interesting in, but everything that he can give you. I have always believed and still do, that if we can take our eyes off his money for a while and look into his heart and except him for who he is, instead of what he has, we might be able to secure a stable and happy relationship. I have always believed that if you love the person first and maybe the money will come next, but of course that's only my opinion. The love of money has destroyed many relationships, because the money is the main attraction instead of the person involved. I truly believe that all the money and material gain in the world want make you or anyone else happy, especially if we don't have the love of God in our heart. Only God can make us appreciate, what we have and show us positive things we can do with some of our wealth, besides squander it up on materialistic things. If I had money, I would share with someone less fortunate than me, but I would also appreciate the fact that I could pay my bills and not worry about where the next dollar was going to come from.
Wealth to me is a security blanket and a convenience that would be nice to have, and when you have been poor, you can appreciate things more. The bible tells us not to depend on riches. The bible also says that the chances of a rich person going to heaven, would be like a camel going through the eye of a needle, now with that statement alone; it seems almost impossible for it to happen, but it didn't say it was impossible. We have to remember with God all things are possible. I think it how we use our riches toward others, will determine the out come of whether or not we'll go to heaven. In reading the story about the young rich man in the bible, about how broken up and sad he was when Jesus asked him to go sale all that he own and follow him, he went away sad and broken hearted. The trouble with people that are rich is they get so bogged down in their possessions, until it's almost impossible for them to give them up and live without them. This is where God comes in, and say I will supply all your needs, if we only would believe and depend totally and completely on him, all our needs would be met.
I can understand marrying someone that's going to help us have financial security and a happy life, but make sure you're marring the man that you love and not his money. that way it will be a happier outcome, because you'll end up loving him or her with or without their money.
