No Binding Limits

Updated on May 2, 2012

Tender is his touch and always sensual
His love seeps into the pores of my skin
Inevitably, like a thirsty sponge
My body swells with joyful ecstasy and
The healing warmth awakens the beauty
That for so long has lain dormant
And...
Painfully unnurtured.

Feelings once stirred
No longer consent to captivity
But demand freedom
To pursue their natural course,
To flee willingly towards that life-giving source
Upon whose countenance
Virtue cannot be but expressed in each gentle smile.

His insight and loving admiration
Direct his deepest affection,
No thought remains unknown
When his transparent eyes pierce my troubled heart
And nothing known remains untold.

Immeasurable heights are reached
When our souls quietly whisper.
Each secret we share
Feels spaceless.
Each moment between us
Seems timeless.
The future holds no preconceptions,
The present holds no binding limits...

Thank you - I was in my 20's when I wrote this poem and yes, I sure did love him.
