Novelty Romance

Updated on June 21, 2011

For you *

Hiding in the pages of novels between sexy words and wanted realities,

A woman, strong and proud,

yet overlooked, takes refuge.

In the words of a realist, "there are no such things as happy endings."

But in the eyes of a romantic,

the heart proves otherwise.

In these stories she finds truth and hope,

and miles away, there's a man,

waiting to show her

that she, can be whisked away

to a place where happiness is everlasting.

Where he can make her tummy flip and

her tinglies yearn

for his touch,

that always picks the perfect moment, the perfect place, the

perfect caress.

it takes a passionate lover of hopes and dreams

to give a romantic heroin purpose to breathe.

Her wanting lips for his loving arms,

Hips throbbing to be held,

gentle eyes awaiting her beautiful face

Strong hands to fumble through her thick silky hair

and a tiny nose to nuzzle his beating chest.

Despite the pessimism of the world,

Even at its best.

Literature Fair, I'm so glad you liked it. Longing is the perfect purpose for this poem. I wasn't too sure how it would turn out, but it seems complete. Thanks for the comment.
