O Cindrella with a love story ever so perfect,

What do you feel about your glory with no defects?

A Prince of Dreams and his charms personified,

He swept you out of woes, to take on a happiness ride.

O Cindrella- Queen of Hearts of millions abound,

Do you feel proud to be a star raised above the clouds?

A girl ordinary and prodigious struggles’ company eternal,

You found your home of solace and happiness so visible.

O Cindrella with a visage attractive and most beautiful,

How does it feel to be winner in something so wonderful?

Creamy complexion so clean and innocent eyes so wide,

Your golden heart has no impurity and imperfection to hide.

About Poem

The story of Cindrella is synonymous with the story of an ordinary girl who after all odds found her love and happiness in the end. She had a 'happily-ever-after' life with her Prince Charming who once he came into her life, all her pains and struggles were wiped off. But how does Cindrella feel about it; as beautiful love stories are not in everyone's fate or life.

This poem has and may have many more interpretations, many of which I am unable explain expressly here. Please feel free to add in your own viewpoints on this poem.

An interesting approach to a common lament in life....I really like this, the simplicity of it and yet the depth of it. Well done!

Thank you so much Chitrangada for your lovely comment. I am glad and happy you liked it. I guess Cindrella has been an integral part of imagination and dreams of most of us. :-)

Beautifully expressed poem! You interpreted Cinderella beautifully.

And you reminded me of my favorite fairy tale, when I was a little girl. Cinderella was an important part of my imagination and dreams back then. Voted up as beautiful!

As a child I couldn't get enough of Cinderella. Then as a teen I found that the appeal was still there. Now as an adult my memories of her influence and happy days remain. What a beautiful and enchanting poem. Voted up and beautiful and sharing.
