ONCE UPON A HILL
LIII.
Upon a hill
I climbed one day
By accident,
I found my soul
And recognized it
Instantly.
I could have
Just as easily
Missed it
And gone another way.

To love again
And know the joy
Of giving
All my heart
And soul
Again to living,
A dream so sweet
It could not be
Muffled by reality.

Signs and symbols
Airborne,
Out from under liturgies
Too long held
Against the wind.
Be reborn
Better
Than before.

Transport me,
Cell by cell
To where you are.
There must be
Spaces in between
Your cells
For me ~.
Where mine
Belong.

Summer morning
Subtly presents itself
As a fresh cool kiss
- Until it starts to blister.

Tides of golden clouds may fret,
Wash across a spotless sky of blue,
Churning up whipped froth in kindly threat
Or gently rain and then move on ~
Adieu.

Time and speed -
New dimensions
For one who knew
But quiet space.

There is
Nothing more
And nothing less
Than this -
A total moment
Fully lived.
