Obsessed With Blue- a poem
My Favorite Color
It is the color of the lake
And a color in the sky.
When I look into
My daughter's face,
I see this color in
Her eyes.
It's a primary color
On the color wheel;
Mixed with green,
Then we have teal.
Then during
The moment of a
Melodramatic movie,
Or while listening to a
Saddened song,
It brings on the
Melancholy feeling,
As the
Optical streams of
Water last oh, so long.
Blue is my favorite color,
Like the berries in my bowl.
With the greatest expanse
On a cloudless day,
I then feel calm,
And completely whole.
