Of What Was My Soul

Updated on August 26, 2013

I will become a bonfire, reaching up to... the sky, so blue,

burning all the neon red, unsavory thoughts...of you

Watching fiery embers ..fly up to that...

which clouds my mind

Releasing from my heart

the memories of you...

with red hot flames, that leave nothing

but a lifeless heap.. of passion blue

One spark... that burns inside...

hungry , lusting.. after new wonder.

Yellow flames... licking angrily

around the edges...

of what was... my soul

Searching for the waste

that would keep me... from dying

into a sad ..black ..pile of embers

Wow, this should be under dramatic poetry!!! Boy, this sure did burst right out of you like molten lava. Whew, what imagery your words have painted here from the depths of your soul. However, the imagery you have included here is stunning as well. Must be a lot of memories burned into your mind of that one no doubt!

      Superb poetry.

      Voted up ++ and sharing

Now, this one will keep one up at nights no doubt ...

      Hugs, Faith Reaper

Lots of passion, that's what I like cleaner3. Those smoldering embers of past regrets, bad endings. Nice work.

Oh my goodness Michael-the emotion just drips from every word. Pain, sadness, anger, yet a hope and yearning for more...Beautifully written my friend.
