On the Edge of Yesterday
She knew he’s wasn’t thinking of her, why should she be thinking of him
Damn her life she couldn’t deal with it she’s going slowly out of her mind
Why did he have to betray her this way, so much anger, so much hunger?
This was going to be the theme to her life; regret after regrets
She was damned if she’d pick up the phone and dial his number
Ok get a grip things will work themselves out
Make it sooner than later because her resistance was weakening
There were no more chances, no more; no more she didn’t want him back just
For those damn feelings to finally die
Finally die
Finally die
Finally die……
She knew she’d to have to face her demons look them straight in the eyes
Otherwise she’d always be looking over her shoulders
Wondering was this the day her soul was taken away
Thrown in an abyss to be forgotten
Laughter has been replaced with tears
Joy, given way to sorrow
Grieving a loss
Confidence stumbled into doubt
Love just a hallucination
Hate evolved into emptiness
Truth beget lies
Future shaped by past
Present stood still
Wind blew away dreams
Thunder gives strength to a sad outcome
Lightening proved violent, death its consequence
Rain brings new birth
A life starts over again
