On the Edge of Yesterday

Updated on February 2, 2014

She knew he’s wasn’t thinking of her, why should she be thinking of him

Damn her life she couldn’t deal with it she’s going slowly out of her mind

Why did he have to betray her this way, so much anger, so much hunger?

This was going to be the theme to her life; regret after regrets

She was damned if she’d pick up the phone and dial his number

Ok get a grip things will work themselves out

Make it sooner than later because her resistance was weakening

There were no more chances, no more; no more she didn’t want him back just

For those damn feelings to finally die

Finally die

Finally die

Finally die……

She knew she’d to have to face her demons look them straight in the eyes

Otherwise she’d always be looking over her shoulders

Wondering was this the day her soul was taken away

Thrown in an abyss to be forgotten

Laughter has been replaced with tears

Joy, given way to sorrow

Grieving a loss

Confidence stumbled into doubt

Love just a hallucination

Hate evolved into emptiness

Truth beget lies

Future shaped by past

Present stood still

Wind blew away dreams

Thunder gives strength to a sad outcome

Lightening proved violent, death its consequence

Rain brings new birth

A life starts over again

Love lives on a very thin line of our sanity. It's forever elusive and hides in the shadows of time. We are born to love, yet love can dwindle and leave us fighting for our lives.

Love is poetry in motion, many a pen has placed the ink on white and expressed it's warmth. Yet why does it hurt so much when we lose love and fall out of love?

I have loved and been loved throughout my life, yet I am out of love again in this twilight of my life. So reaching the other side we pray that Love will welcome us to it's breast as it did when it gave us our first breath of life.

Lovely piece of work ek ellis I hope you have found love and are staying in love. Hugs

I so enjoyed that, working ones way through heartache is hard to do. LOVE is always a key to happiness, even if it is just to love yourself. thanks for this
