One true Love

Sometimes things happen for us to be complete, there are people you meet and don’t know their worth until a certain call which you or them cannot heed, the story you are about to read is my story but a fiction.

Imagine this!

I met Carol over the internet in one of the dating sites, we somehow became fond of each other and will never skip a day without chatting over the internet, as time passed by, we got to know more of each other and at a time, i began feeling Carol like someone i have known from childhood. It is love in motion so we decided to see each other, the web cam was not enough and the thing blocking us from touching and holding each other was not just the monitor but the miles between us. I was in Cape Verde and she was in South Africa.

“There are many miles between us girl
I don’t know how to say i love you
But If i can fly, i will fly to you

You brought meaning into my life
And i wish to hold you and touch your hand
Feel you the way it ought to

Come over to the mountain top

I sent her the above poem to let her know how much i want to see her so we decided to meet on a neutral ground. “Kenya”. It was unbelievable, the girl i have been chatting with for the past eight months was a beauty queen, Carol was endowed with all the virtues a man want in a woman,

"I won’t say everything that happened in Kenya but glad we met and had fun. Our meeting changed my perspective about the internet, and i believe that luck and destiny puts a man at the wrong place at the right time."

I didn’t want to let her go,i wanted the fun to continue, while in Kenya, we will go to two different cyber cafes and chat over the internet, it was real fun for 5 days and four nights. We got more close to each other after that meeting, after our first hug, kiss and walking hand in hand like lovers do.

I could not sleep some nights as thoughts of Carol began telling on me and everyone around me observed that i was in love with someone. Two months after meeting Carol, i decided to make her my everlasting partner so i called her and told her my plans.

“It will be great to have you in my life forever” i told her
“Sure baby and we will live in Kenya” she replied

I proposed to the most beautiful heart in the world and she accepted to marry me but two weeks after this, i was diagnosed of a chronic kidney disease though i didn’t know how to relate this to my Angel because i was afraid that she might leave me but my mother advised me to let her know so i did.

Carol flew down to Praia to be with me, she left her studies and stood by my side, she was always there watching the nurse insert tubes into my system, she held my hand each time i go for dialysis, Carol was strong and encouraged me because there was no matching kidney for me and i was deteriorating. I needed an urgent Kidney transplant.

The desperate search for a matching Kidney brought Carol into the center of my sickness, if it is true that woman was formed with a man’s rib then Carol was formed with mine. Her kidney of all people was my only match and she didn’t hesitate nor had a second thought about donating one of hers to save my life. We left for Mumbai (India) for the transplant.

As you can see, it was a successful operation and we are both doing great, we will soon be coming back.It is true that i omitted so many important things that happened between us before my ailment especially the first night we spent in Kenya. Did i see you smile?

Actually, it is great knowing Carol, there is always one true love and you find it sometimes in the strangest places but the fact remains that the connection never cease once you find it and it answers any call. Carol is my one and only true love. I will sometime write you guys again to notify you of our wedding plans.
