PEACE AND HOPE Through Times of Loss and Trouble

Updated on February 13, 2013

As most of you know I am recently grieving about my father’s death. I have also felt and experienced many different types of losses in my life time, as I am sure each and every one of you have done also.

As well I have trouble understanding the evil that happens in the world along with the suffering of the innocent. So much so I can hardly look or care to hear some of the horrible circumstances that take place today in our life time or in the past.

However as I pondered today sitting on my front porch in the winter sunshine the losses that have recently happened to me, as well as the ones that have occurred through my life time, not to mention my thoughts of others losses and despairs; I also reflected on why I still have this notion of hope and the comfort of peace?

I finally realized through my train of thoughts, that I truly have a great belief and faith in the following. “I believe that GOD allows our losses and horrific misery in this world to help us on many different levels no matter how we must loath them to the bottom of our core!”

I feel I am blessed enough in wisdom to have this hope and peace gift to over power the anguish of loss and strife so I in the long run can comprehend the method to the madness by the grace of GOD.

I am sure down to my very being; that GOD allows these losses and tragedies to happen to each of us, to teach us things, to provide us with new things, and with nothing less than giving us fresh very much needed knowledge and wisdom!

With this belief and explanation fulfilled in me (no matter the sorrow and heartache I feel for myself and others) I am able to grasp at hope and finally take in peace.

Yes the gift of peace, and hope and wisdom comes with a dear price! Yet the reward of such a treasured commodity is priceless, and what we need to have to sustain our lives through unbearable trying times.

So today I leave you with yet again my favorite bible passage that also lifts my thoughts to greater peace filled heights of hope, and has gotten me through the toughest of times I have faced.

I also pray that today this writing of my views that occurred to me, and or the following passage could as well help give gain of wisdom, hope and peace to one or more of you.

I wish everyone to have a great day!

The following is the passage I promised for our troubled and times of loss>>>

“Philippians 3: verses 13-14”

“13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
