POETRY-PAST MISTAKES
In the far vast distant light
I see the outline of a pair of wings
My surroundings are solid white
A feeling of comfort sets within me
I have never been here before
I have never felt so at peace
I sit with most eagerly eyes
My past is the past, that now means everything
Time has stopped yet for just a moment
As I wipe a tear falling from my eyes
Suddenly I catch a shade of blue
As I glance up into the sky
I feel a gentle breeze
I feel softness with my finger tips
I have never felt such sweet surrender
A feeling I have been destined to miss

As my vision begins to return
More and more sections of beauty I now see
I can't come to any conclusion
This magical event that has came over me
Yes this heart has felt hell and pain
Yes, these scars may never heal
I know I can't change my past
But I can the way I act and feel
Friend we all make mistakes
The pain only stays within the holder
I may be far in distance from perfect
But I'll be forgiven when it is all over
I firmly believe we get what we give
We can be forgiven no matter where we've been
I apologized and I learned how to forgive
I became a better person, lover, and friend
As I take one last glance back
This heart no longer wears a cast
Today is my new beginning
As I leave behind the ashes of my past
