1.- Paradise Truly Is a Small World After All.- for All the Victims of 9/11 2.- Drizzlyland.
To all who could have been there
Paradise Truly Is
A Small World After All.
June 2002
We took
your place
in every line,
on our trip
to Disneyland .
All summer more
good folks will come
and in your absence stand. As thousands claim
where you'd have been,
most will not comprehend,
thier place in line was "yours",
if your lives had just gone
on as planned.
See that mother
so much like you,
holding tight
to her child's hand,
smiling down at
her young daughter,
giggling at this wonderland. Children dance
and leap through fountains,
while their parents show delight,
Indian, Egyptians,
Pakistani's, Israelites. Here's a kid down from Ohio,
with a younger Afghan boy,
chasing Zeti from the Congo,
laughing....splashing...sharing joy. There's a Vietnamese toddler,
playing with a veteran's kid
neither one of them have knowledge,
of just what the 60's did German, French, Russian and English,
cavort with Asians at their side,
Irish, Middle Eastern, Blackfoot,
in a land where hate's denied We take your place
in every line,
just as you all
might have done,
when your families
were not incomplete,
before the acts of 911 The world goes on as usual,
but your places will remain ,
here in paradise
and everywhere,
to mark the awful pain,
of the day life went insane.

Drizzlyland!
Grey skies above,
with more gray moods below,
the only bright spots
are those sun yellow parkas,
scattered round as the rain
falls on each uncovered place. Beneath vast yards of plastic,
sad eyes hooded in shadows,
huddle damp, grumbling masses
in an all day downpour. Getting soaked for thier tickets,
cause it's raining on their dimes,
as it cancels parades,
now they feel like a Dumbo. Looking ever so Goofy,
spending hundreds of dollars,
forty more for rain parkas,
nature's slipped them a Mickey,
Thier days pleasure is Minnie......
"But, Hey!!!!
Welcome to Drizzlyland!!!"
Where you wish that Jurassic
was a wee bit more dry.
