War with the gods
Will soon be over
'Cos happy times are here again

The souls will be at peace
Away from life's drubbing
The ears of the gods have opened
Our pleas have found favor

Think no more;
Free minds; happy thoughts

Happiness is on my lips
Come kiss away my sweetness
When joy meets man
The gods are of no use!

Our cries have dried up
Our prayers consumed;
Hurray! It's time to merry
