People Watching On A Saturday Morning ~ A 100-word essay

People Watching On A Saturday Morning

Yeah, I see you there. Wearing pajamas stained with last night's pizza. Finger combed hair. A 'fashion don't', you have become. A black bar will soon appear over your eyes. To protect the public, a black bar should be over the mess that is you. Only your eyes showing. Oh wait, raccoon eyes, cover those too. What makes a person jump out of bed and race to the store? Unkempt. Unmade. Unwashed. Craving for chocolate? Pining for potato chips? Twitching for toilet paper? We don't want to know what it's like to wake up next to you. Brush your teeth!

Michael, I know what you mean! It bugs me so much to see people not even put forth an effort to be clean! I can overlook someone's style of dress, but why can't people be clean?!? Thanks for the comment!

Bill, haha! We have about 4 Dollar Stores in my town and each one can be very entertaining! Thanks for the comment!

lisa, I love to observe the human creature in it's natural habitat. How it scrounges around for its needs without any consideration for it's state of cleanliness. some of these creatures have no sense of pride or shame.

      Pajama's really!!!!!

Oh my! Come to Olympia if you want to do some serious people-watching. I think we have cornered the market on interesting. Nothing like the Dollar Store when it first opens. Thumbs up and quite entertaining.

People watching, wondering who this pensive, well dressed young woman eating lunch alone in a restaurant is(just today at noon),then seeing her standing outside, waiting for a ride that did not come, wondering what story she could tell...yes, people watching is a habit here too.

A.Villarasa, good point! I like doing all the things you mentioned. Well, not reading the physics book, you can keep that one! Thanks for the comment!

Although people watching could be entertaining as heck, the time that one spends doing it could best be spent listening to good music, or doing crossword puzzle, or engaging in a particularly sizzling conversation with someone or reading "The art of Physics". Thus all those reality shows on TV have a built-in expiration date attached to them notwithstanding any cultural value they might initially advertise.
