People who only want to hurt you

Updated on March 31, 2013

When all is said and done, Will the jigsaw pieces fit?

When final words and thoughts, have nothing more to say,

Nothing more to think.

Will you just walk away?

When all is said and done, How will the picture look?

Will ALL the pieces fit?, And form beauty in a book?

Or will the jigsaw have pieces missing, Will it be incomplete?

Who can say?

Who can know?

When all is said and done..

You've given out such hurt, Pain against all others,

And you, yourself alone, like a dog with favourite bone,

Felt smug and satisfied, You care not how you lied.

We all succumb to charm, Lies carefully concealed,

Wrapped in gold and silver, So easily believed.

But even you must "feel" ! That is if you are human.!

When all is said and done, the picture should show beauty,.

But you.... may walk away, with nothing more to say.

You´ll look back at what you've ruined, and care not one small jot.!

When all is said and done.

I look inside my heart, and notice it is bleeding,

Ha !! Whose fault is that ?

You heartless, jumped--up devil, When all is said and done,

At least you´ll not be there, No, not up there in Heaven.

Well my dear lovely friend you are literally the cream in my coffee as

I am listening to harp and flute music upon waking up this morning and having my first cuppa.

I have always admired the philosophical tone of your writing and you take me places deep within my soul.

This is such a thought provoking title too and it reflects the yin and yang of life and as my dad used to say - "people can make it or break it."

You are always 'making it' worthwhile and rewarding for all of your lucky readers.

So here I sit with my two cats, Tiffy and Gabriel, wishing you a Happy Easter to you and your family and please check your FB wall for a surprise. lake erie time canada 9:55am

I love your positive thinking ,and I do agree it would be great to surround ourself by only good people, but reality is even since the time of Jesus he was surrounded by both good and bad, our tests in life is just not based on who we are surrounded by ,but how we treat all people even if they are our enemies , what we want to avoid is becoming like a person God dislikes because of a unclean life style, Surly Jesus set the greatest example he loved all people and children , there is an old saying I hate the things you do , but I love you .

I love your comment, Kiss and Tales. This being the time of year of Jesus´ resurrection, made the comment very apt.

If we treat people well, it does come back to us , I know. We reap what we sow.

In this piece of prose, though, I was thinking more of someone who loses confidence and self worth because of another persons degrading comments and actions.

thank you for taking time to read and commment.

      Hello Dim,

This deep and reflective prose is thought provoking. I hope the pain that is depicted in the lines is either in the distant past or fictional. Just today I was informed about a Hubber friend who is being stalked by some disgruntled and disagreeable person who has recently joined our ranks of writers. I hope the new person's behavior is censored quickly as it is purely stalking and threatening in nature. It is difficult to understand why someone would publish degrading comments on another's work. Be of good cheer and know that your work is sublime.

      HI PegCole.

It´s a sad day when a Hubber is treated in the way you describe. I, too hope it can soon be squashed.!!!!!

      My prose was fiction., thankfully.

if there is anyone that understands degrading remarks is me every year I been on hub pages ,what I learn is how strong is my faith , instead I get stronger I have more strength and I exercise more faith in the truth, really what do people know about you is no more then you let them know ! And the message I share is not my words but that of the supreme being of all creation. For them It's like saying what you wish to a lawyer, but the lawyer is the judges son! People surly have to be careful of what they say!

We do reap what we sow and those who go around treating others badly never seem to get it. Their lives become worse and worse and they take out their pain on others.

      Thank you for this poem.

Very touching and deep. I had this experience when I was young, and it robbed me of all confidence for a long time. I suppose it's because when we're young, our egos are still mushy and without form that we allow this. People who do this to others are troubled and I suppose we must always look within, to see why we allow it.

A lovely, touching piece of work.

Thank you Marsei, my experiences also were when l was a child and in my early teens..

I felt a great release when l wrote this after so many years keeping everything inside.

She's the sad one. l don't have to be afraid any more.
