Piano Keys: A Poem
Piano Keys: A Poem
In a dusty room, I sat down to play,
Antique keys that echoed,
And told me stories from another day,
Written by musicians who have passed on,
The same notes, but in a different pattern,
From melodies that have already gone,
But performed a new symphony through my fingers,
The future of these keys is left unplayed,
But the past history of the piano lingers.
