The Need to Open The Doors

Open the doors to give and take Love.

Open the doors to nice Relationships.

Open up for Compassion and Kindness.

Open up for negotiations and discussions.

Open up your heart for listening to neighbors' problems and offering solutions.

Closed Doors- A Negative Signal

The advancement of technology and modern lifestyles have thrust us into a closed-door living style. The TV, Air Conditioners, and the Internet have made us become habituated and addicted to these gadgets with virtually no connection to the neighborhood or relationships.

I am fed up with constantly hearing this voice. A sweet voice. Too much enchanting and alluring. It constantly keeps reminding me "Please Close the Doors". It seems as though promoting negative signals and messages unconsciously into our minds to keep us closed in our homes. We are unconsciously and unknowingly programming our brains and thereby our minds also become accustomed to these negative signals. Our mentality has become too much habituated to this unhealthy practice of confining ourselves in closed doors. It holds up us to keep ourselves within some preset boundaries and not to allow any other person enter into those limits. It shuts us from enjoying the beauty of love or the freshness and fragrance of the beautiful world outside.

Keeping the doors closed spreads indifference towards the neighbors and the outer world. It further creates hatred and spreads jealousy and violence. It can pervert the body and mind.

So, please awaken yourself and open the doors of your heart and mind to receive and share your love for humanity.

Open the Doors to Love and Happiness

Once you open the door and set yourself free from the barriers, you will experience how nice and beautiful is the surrounding world and the people in it. You will feel and realize the natural light and the beauty outside and the freshness of the air and all. You will come to know of the gentle qualities of your neighbors and all other people. You will begin to Love and feel happy in their company.

It is not the mere physical doors of your house. Open the doors of your heart and mind.

Until you keep your mind and heart imprisoned within your own self-created boundaries, you can't realize the beauty of the world around you. You will be seeing everything with suspicion, jealousy, and fear. You look at them as aliens and strangers and try to avoid them or get rid of them.

But, once you open up your heart, you will begin to experience them as your own siblings and of your own race or community and begin to like and love them.

So, open your doors and let your love embrace them and experience the bliss of giving and receiving love.

A quote from Bible-

John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Open the Doors for Love

Love is the greatest thing on earth that has been bestowed upon us by God.

Jesus Himself has endured crucifixion just because of the Love that He has for the whole mankind. He loved you so much that He sacrificed Himself to protect you and to purify your souls from all the impurities.

So, let us learn from His sacrifices.

Let us open our doors to extend our love towards the whole mankind and the living beings of this world.

To open the door for love, you should know the exact meaning of love which is defined so beautifully in one of the versions of Bible given below.

Jesus- Embodiment of Love

Definition of Love from Bible-

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 defines Love as follows.

Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

So, open up the doors of your heart for an unconditional love that only gives love and never hurts or belittles others.

Give and take love.

Spread love among your neighbors and communities.

Don't keep your doors closed. Open up them to unending Love.

Open the Doors for Nice Relationships

Develop nice relationships with all those with whom you come into contact during your everyday life. Interact with them generously and nicely. Give a touch of love and gentleness in all your interactions with them. It does not require any special attention than just a nice greeting "hello" with a courtesy inquiry of 'how do you do' addition to it. Keep a smiling and admiring glance while doing so. This much is enough to create nice and wonderful relations with people around you.

A Quote from Bible on Compassion.

Ephesians 4:32

"Be Kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you."

Open up for Compassion and Kindness

Open the doors of your heart for compassion, kindness and a feeling of generosity with people around you. Don't be self-centered. Do not draw dividers. You can maintain your privacy and status up to your necessities. But, feel some compassion and be generous to people around you and express or at least feel some sorrow for their worries and deprived conditions of life. If you can, offer some helping hand and try to solve their needs.

It is just like a Doctor getting worried at your problem and giving you a gentle pat telling you everything will be alright soon.

You might have noticed a small baby worried and having a compassionate glance at another baby weeping for some reason.

The above are great examples of showing compassion for those around you.

Open the Door of Heart for Compassion

The baby caring for another that is crying. Even a baby has compassion.
The baby caring for another that is crying. Even a baby has compassion.

Quote by Rumi-

Grief can be the garden of compassion. If you keep your heart open through everything, your pain can become your greatest ally in your life's search for love and wisdom.

- Rumi

Open the Doors for Negotiations and Discussions

Whenever some problem arises with your neighbors or colleagues, don't quarrel and fight with them. Rather, try to calm yourselves and discuss the problems peacefully to reach some agreement.

It may be difficult sometimes to arrive at any mutual understanding or agreement. It requires much patience and deliberate willingness to settle issues. The ego or mentality may not succumb to a feeling of degradation or humiliation. But, time can bridge the gaps. So, allow time to takes its own time and keep peaceful till then.

The prevalent tensions with border countries, military strikes and wars are a result of these misunderstandings and egoism. If people understand and respect the feelings and rights of one another, there could have been much peace all around. One should be humanitarian and do not try to grab other person's fundamental rights or possessions.

Dalai Lama Quotes on Love, Compassion, Peace

Open up Your Heart to Offer Help and Solutions

People, nowadays, keep mum or silent while hearing at other's problems. They show a kind of indifference or 'I am not bothered' attitude while encountering with such situations. But, being human and listening to their problems will not cost you anything. It is up to you to offer help or solution. At least, you can try to listen to them and your audience itself can provide a bit relief to the person. You can offer an excuse if not in a position to help or refer to somebody else. Even that much is a good gesture. It itself might provide some solution to their problem.

We, as human beings, always seek the help of God at times of our problems. We go to the temples and churches offering our prayers and telling Him our problems. We beg Him to pardon our sin and help us by offering solutions. When we are seeking help from God, why not we return the same gesture with our fellow citizens? God gets pleased with such noble people who return His favors in the form of Compassion and Love offered to fellow citizens or other living beings on earth.
