Dark Figure - a Poem about Darkness
From the "A.M. Poems"
Again, after dark, into the wee hours, the thoughts come pouring, sometimes dark, yet all the while beckoning, pulling me in, exploring what could be waiting...in the darkness.
Into the darkness . . . .
"The A.M. Poems"
"The A. M. Poems" are a compilation of poems, thoughts, and scribblings that I have written and still occasionally write in the wee hours of the morning. Although at the time my body might be tired, my racing mind can't seem to shut down. Some of the scribbles and rantings might get thrown out, but some--often--will make more sense than they appear to at first glance. Try it for yourself. You may find that sleeplessness, a fuzzy brain, and seeking fingers, pen, or quill, just might lead you to create something that normally wouldn't come to you.
Dark Figure
He approaches
Cunningly clever
Blindingly attractive
Magnetic
Beckoning
Pulling me to him.
Some courage left
I resist
Yet he persists
Invitingly
Cunningly
With promises of forever.
I look backwards
And then ahead
To overwhelming questions
And he calls
Patiently
Providing the answer.
My life behind me
I look forward
To a bed of rest.
He takes me
Welcoming
Into the darkness.

This is another entry from my notebook of the "A.M. Poems," ramblings, rants, and sometimes scribbles. Yet in those wee hours, there sometimes comes clarity through the rush of thoughts. Clarity that things will be different this time. - Poem - Cooking for Comfort
