Poem: Lost on a Journey
"I Will Remind You" by Brian Asselin and Eric Disero
My Mother Coped With Her Husband's Alzheimer's
This poem was written by my mother, Joyce A. Spradlin.
Her husband suffered with Alzheimer’s and it was very difficult for her to watch and handle each day.
I suggested she begin writing down her thoughts.
Here is one of them.
"Lost on a Journey" by Joyce A. Spradlin
You are on a journey
and I am not with you,
but you are looking for me
as I hear you ask where I am.
I know you love me,
I know you care
because you want me near…
but you are lost on a journey
And I don't know where,
I can’t bring you back
but I try to tell you I’m here…
I accept at least you want me there.
