Poem: Sun Waves

Updated on August 21, 2011

Sun Waves was written while gazing into the sunset at Torrey Pines, CA.

Sun Waves

Staring at reflected sunrays
I toss my thoughts into oceans end
This numbness, lifeless feeling hollows inside
Tears unformed, dry eyes
Reveal draped sadness
A situation unreal sails away
My dream adrift
Hopes on tattered sails carry away this life
Lost in the glisten of dancing waves
Overcome by inevitability
Fearing darkness with each clock tick
I absorb the setting Sun to illuminate yesterdays sorrow
And to brighten this new path for unwritten tomorrow
